Abstract
The author substantiates an understanding of Russian patriotism as a basis of consolidation of the society, achievement of social stability and sustainable development of the Russian society. On the basis of the scientific analysis results, the author reveals the current understanding of the subject of patriotic upbringing, its structure as a basis for constructing the process of patriotic upbringing. The functionality, realized in patriotic upbringing in the process of social reproduction, serves as reference points for the selection of the content of patriotic upbringing, integrative factors of structuring the innovation process and defines the logic of patriotic upbringing in modern education.
