Abstract
There are considered the theoretical bases, methodology and a model of psychological-pedagogical support of young sportsmen (purposes, tasks, peculiarities, stages of complex maintenance, methods and forms, regularities, terms and expected results), its practical importance in the children-youth sport. There are revealed the components of young sportsmen selection and the process of sports career support, formation of young sportsmens personality, achievements of success in sports and life.
