Abstract
In the article, there is presented a generalization of the problem of developing the personality in the process of additional education; there are revealed the conceptual bases of the additional education, its goals and the priority ideas. There are distinguished and considered the common personality qualities of the youth that must be developed for the successful future by means of additional education.
