Abstract
The article deals with the trends in contemporary Russian education in view of global transformations and qualitative transformation of the Russian society. The key role of education is justified in solving the problems of modernization of Russia in the context of globalization. It is substantiated that the effective modernization of Russian society can be realized only under condition of close integration of science and education.
