Abstract
In the article there are considered some modern urgent problems of the upbringing theory; there are presented the theoretical theses of L. I. Novikova's scientific school. The conclusions are made on the basis of researching the methodological consequences of the paradigm shift in the upbringing theory. The manifestations of the paradigm shift are described. The article gives a detailed analysis of the problems and perspectives of the current theory and practice of upbringing.
