Abstract
In the article there are specified the concept of 'polycultural education' and its principal distinction from 'multicultural' and 'polyethnic' education; the dominant goals are distinguished of polycultural education in the modern-day Russia as a factor of increasing effectiveness of education; the guidelines for this research by the scientists of our country are classified. Drawing on the peculiarities of polycultural education in the modern-day Russia, there are suggested pedagogical conditions for construction an optimal model of education in the context of polyculture.
