Abstract
The philosophic-educational conditions fostering spiritual and moral revival of ethical virtues in modern society are discussed in the article. The axiological component of the phenomenon of charity is defined on the basis of the literature review. The problematic issues are identified and the author's vision of the formation of spiritual and moral values of the people is offered. The professional competence of the teacher in the context of didactic goals providing spiritual and moral education is also considered.
