Abstract
The aim of the paper is to pose the question of the theoretical component of the current problems faced by contemporary Russian education in connection with its transition to new principles of the Bologna program.
The paper presents an analysis of a number of both modern studies and the studies which have become classical now, characterizing the place and role of the mental basis of modern Russian education. The author analyzes a number of scientific sources to identify the relevance of this topic in the philosophy of education.
