Abstract
The article investigates the practical aspect of Mahatma Ghandi's philosophy of education. The article's theme is the system of education developed by Mahatma Ghandi. The author makes accent on the fusion and development of the Eastern and European, the antic and modern, the paradoxes and constant tendencies in Ghandi's world outlook. These features are revealed through the relations between teacher and pupil, through the methods of education. A conclusion is made that the only right way to change life is through education and upbringing of people, their self-development and purification.
