The humanitarian sphere of the education system is one of the most important elements of spiritual culture. It reflects the current transformation processes in contemporary Russian state and forms the political consciousness and political culture of the citizens. It also trains specialists in the sphere of administration and power on the macro- and micro-levels of the society.  The fate of Russian state depends, to a great extent, on the quality of training of the specialists with a sound world outlook and ideology. Therefore, it is important to discuss the following questions with respect to higher professional education in political science and philosophy: definition of the concepts of "power" and "state power", interaction of the subject and the object of authoritative relations, social organization, and interrelation of society and power on different stages of development of the Russian state.
