Abstract
The article analyzes the problems of the most important systems of cultural communication in contemporary society. The article is devoted to the problem of mass-media and mass culture influence on the formation of consciousness of the modern individual and, especially, a young one. The informational environment created by the mass-media is compared with the education system as an institutionalized form of translation of cultural values.
