The most influential experiments known as "zombie", "inverted spectrum", "absent qualia", "Mary" and "Simona" are analyzed as examples of different ontological accounts and their implications. Keywords: social epistemology, ideology, philosophy of science, value system, scientific method, abduction, constructivism
Abstract >>
The emergence of social epistemology as a separate branch of the philosophy of science raises the problem of the interconnection between social factors and the internal logic of scientific development. The author believes that social epistemology is the successor to the teaching of ideology which, in turn, was a result of the methodological analysis of social sciences. The mechanisms of social conditionality of knowledge which function in social cognition as ideological presuppositions are also found in natural science. First of all, it is true of abductive inferences in which these mechanisms are the principles limiting the choice of hypotheses and theoretical schemes. However, in modern science the very same mechanisms are in force at a deeper level, when we speak about the construction of the objects under study which are defined by some system of agreements between natural scientists.

Donskikh O.A. "The Simple Magic of Philosophy"
Keywords: philosophy, reflexion, position of reflexion, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky
Abstract >>
When philosophy in literature is examined, usual well-defined criteria of philosophy are not used. The problem is that this approach undermines the very concept of philosophy. The author uses three criteria to identify philosophy which are reflexion, principal openness, and manifestation by words. He demonstrates that according to these criteria Tolstoy (contrary to Dostoevsky) is not a philosopher. The author presents a set of criteria which allow not to mix philosophy with literature and other areas of human consciousness.

Keywords: cycles of Russian history, reforms and counter-reforms, nature of sociopolitical cycles, models of historical dynamics, social crises, dynamic strategies
Abstract >>
The paper aims at revealing the interior generative mechanism of the well known cycles in the sociopolitical history of Russia. The model of short cycles of reforms and counter-reforms (A.Yanov. V.Lapkin, and V.Pantin) and the model of long modernization cycles (R.Vishnevsky) are quite compatible and can serve as the basic for theoretical analysis. The Universal Model of Historical Dynamics (UMHD) which is used as the primary concept includes such schemes as challenge-response (A.Toynbee), crisis-decay (J.Tainter), mass mobilization (Ch.Tilly), dynamic strategies (G.Snooks) et al. The conditions and causes of non-adequate, compensatory, and prospective responses of Russian authorities to challenges are revealed. Short and long cycles, the decay of the Russian Empire and the USSR are explained within the general theoretical framework. Possible strategies breaking the cyclical mechanism are sketched.
