Registration of marriages in the national regions of Siberia

Abstract
On the base of the statistical materials of the general census of population in 1994 and 2002, the author carries out an analysis of registration of marriages at the peoples of Siberia (Russians, Tuvinians, the Khakass people and the peoples of the national minorities of the North). Among the factors having influence upon the presence of unregistered marriages, she singles out such ones: economic conditions of the regions, as well as correlation of the urban and rural population in them. Sex, age and nationality are also the differential factors of unregistered marriages. The connection of registered marriage with demography and ethno-cultural characteristics of the married couple are examined too.
