Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of defining the "moral point of view" focusing on the role of rational deliberation in moral decision making. Special attention is paid to the nature and limitations of epistemic rationality in making moral choices and the notion of impartiality. The author challenges the idea of a "morally-free zone" and argues for alternative ways of reconciling the normative force of moral judgments and the individual limitations of the moral agent.
