The article is devoted to a new petroglyphic complex of the Altai which was discovered by the author. The unique stamped rock-drawings are correlated by him with the Karakol Culture of the Bronze Epoch. The author concentrates his attention on guessing of the astronomical aspect of the composition. The publication extends our views both of the existence of crescent-shaped pendants (lunnits), those met in burials of the Bronze Epoch, and of the peculiarities of the Karakol Culture of the Altai and its relations with the Okunevo Culture.

In the article, on the material of the old-believers´ work "The Shield of Belief" written in the end of the XVIIIth century, the author shows that defenders of the Old-Belief, using the traditional for writers of Old Russia devices of construction of literary work, amplified them with the new ones, i.e. they not only followed the Old Russian traditions but improved the latter in the New Time conditions.

The article is devoted to the history of publishing of teaching and educational literature in Siberia in the early 1930s. The author carries out an analysis of the experimental decentralization of printing such editions, as well as of the Communist Party´s control of the process.

In the article, an analysis of relations of Russians  with aborigines of Siberia, in the XVIIth century, is carried out. The author concludes that, owing  to the cautious policy of the Moscow power and the loyal attitude of the Siberian administration to the traditional way of life of aborigines, the culture of the centre of the empire had  not absorbed the traditional beliefs of the majority of peoples of Siberia.

The author investigates mythological ideas about cat and dog at different groups of the Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian peoples. She analyses opinions and examines the reasons of nonidentical attitude at men and women, at Slavs and Finno-Ugrians to the animals endowed with dual symbolism, various demonological functions and taking the part of guides of soul and the first meeting in the Other World.

The authors carry out an explication of notion "scenario" in the context of its distinguishing with notions "model", "tendency", "variant of development", "prognostication", "programme". They show that systematization of the massif of basic archetypes of culture , which form in total the social and cultural code of ethnosocial community, is the starting point of scenario analysis.

In this article, a comparative analysis of migratory intentions of the Russian youth of Siberia and that of Scotland, those living in countryside or town-dwellers, is represented. In this connection, a special attention is also paid to analysis of the young people´s attitude to place of their dwelling, social surroundings, as well as to their emotional and psychological states. On the base of analysis of historical and culturological information, as well as of data of sociological investigations carried out under the author´s leadership, during the last 13 years, in the mixed-national settlements of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region (Okrug), it was established that the interethnic associations of Ugry are one of the historically significant results of development. It is demonstrated that the Eurasian consciousness remains up to the present the base of interethnic relations of the Ugric population.

The author attracts attention of ethnosociologists to the themes significant in ethnopolicy, those appeared due to the activities of aborigines. For such purpose he carries out an analysis of some important publications on this subject matter. In these works, a wide range of questions is embraced: from "cultural interviews" of Goodman and Rivier to the idea of "recognition policy" of Taylor. The commentary of the most interesting ethnoecological and ethnopolitical solutions in Siberia is given: from development of protected territories to unstable alliance with branches of extractive and mining industries.

The article is devoted to the problem of origin of proverbs of the Turkic peoples of Siberia, such as Altaians, Tuvinians, Shorians, Khakasses and Yakuts. The author carries out semantic analysis of proverbs with horse´s image and she draws to the conclusion that they belong to archaic paremiological fund of Turks of Siberia.

In the article, one of the thematic cycles of myths about spirits-masters of mountains, water and fire is examined. Characteristics of mythological personages and their functional peculiarities is given. On the basis of analysis of the system of images, motives and subjects, a reconstruction of mythological ideas is carried out.

The article is written on the material of investigations in the Chita Region and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region. Examining the main problems connected with fixation of performance of folklore works, the author draws to he conclusion that video camera allows achieving the greatest authenticity in tape-recording when ritual folklore is recorded by using several video cameras.

The author carries out an analysis of the conceptions of the linguistic equivalence of the text of original and its foreign adequacy. This is actual for theoretical and practical substantiation of principles of translation of folklore texts in the series "Folklore Monuments of the Peoples of Siberia and the Far East". In the article, both the foreign and home methods of approach to attaining of equivalence of translation to the text of original are elucidated, as well as classification of the types of equivalence is given.
